Do I need Term insurance?
No you don't, although mortgage life assurance can be a perquisite for a mortgage. Although they are similar they are not the same (see Mortgage Life Assurance isn’t the same - Money Savings Expert). If you do not have dependents or any debts then term insurance is not necessary.
Most of us tend to go to our traditional supplier of financial products for things such as loans, credit cards, mortgages, insurance, which is normally the bank we have had a current account with when we left school, or the building society that "mum" opened that savings account with when you were 2! By shopping around however, whether in the high street or on the internet, we could potentially be saving substantial amounts of money we pay for credit and insurance etc... whilst maybe being able to enjoy higher rates of interest on savings.
The banks are setting aide huge pots of money to make ppi compensation pay-outs to its customers but don’t go to the people who wrongly sold you the policy in the first place; get your payment protection refunds with the PPI Claim Company.
If you have dependents and you want to lessen the financial impact of your death then term insurance could be appropriate. Among the reasons to take out term insurance could include:
- Mortgage – term insurance could be used to pay your mortgage off?
- If you are the major brad winner then a lump sum could offset the loss of income
- Jet Safety
- Supply childcare – would your partner need to go to work
- Education, school fees?
- Jet Charter for Business People
- Helicopter charter
- Eradicate your personal debt
- Worry of long term sickness
Many of the financial products and services detailed on this site can be applied for on-line in a matter of minutes, so not only could you be saving money, you wont even have to leave your chair!
-------- Term Insurance Explained in plain English
Term life insurance is the most basic form of life insurance and is the least expensive means of insuring a life. Term insurance covers you for a fixed period and only pays out a single lump sum of money if a person dies during the policy term. see: Definition of Term Insurance
A number of term insurance policies offer additional options. These include for example critical illness cover (see: Critical illness cover is it worth it - This is Money).
One advantage of adding critical illness cover is that the term insurance plan will pay out on diagnosis of an illness that is life threatening
